**Also Donner Ski Ranch is .02 miles left on Hwy 40 (no phone, but possibly a free beer for PCT hiker and good food at the restaurant/bar) **Truckee Trolley (free), runs every hour from West End Beach (of Donner Lake) between 9:45am and 4:45pm, Donner Market (9:48-4:48) to Truckee. **Alderbrook Manor (836 Sawyers Bar Road), the celebrated B&B with the equally celebrated hiker hut, provides shuttle service to and from trailheads. The hikers hut is a hostel type living area with 6 beds, (4 bunk and one double) with shower and toilet facilities. Includes continental breakfast in room, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, barbeque. Computer. Washer and dryer are also available. Rates are $25.00 per night per person. pcta listing: The hut opens April 15. They will accept hikers' UPS packages.
